CENSORSHIP IS WEAK AS F##K ART SHOW

The multimedia art show featuring original World Industries art, graphics & decks by Marc McKee and Sean Cliver is touring Australia.
Censorship is Weak as F##k features over 40 skateboard graphics designed by McKee and Cliver and showcases works commissioned by ‘World Industries’ and its subsidiary brands from the late 1980s to the mid 1990s. The collection of original skateboards demonstrates literally in graphic detail how ‘World Industries’ set itself apart from its competitors by using a totally uncensored approach in its graphic program. This was seen through their relentless depiction of one controversial subject after another including religion, pornography, gun control, sex, profanity, racism, drug use and violation of copyright law.

Most of the work in the exhibition, which includes the original skateboard decks, original artwork, and print advertising, has never before been exhibited and serves as a must-see visual time-capsule of a legendary period in skate culture.

The exhibition will touch down in Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast and runs in conjunction with screenings of ‘The Man Who Souled The World’. Each screening will also feature an after party and signing session attended by featured artists Marc McKee and Sean Cliver.
